Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country Charlotte Concert reviews
GREAT show, BAD venue policy and floor setup
Great was Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country! However, security outside the Petersen Events Center was less than helpful; most women carrying medium sized purses were told that their bags were too big and they would have to take them back to their car. My girlfriend had to stash her purse in the plants outside the event center after removing her wallet, as there were no lockers available. What do you do if you live a few neighborhoods away in the city and you took a Lyft or Uber to the show? The security guard that turned her away was very "smug" to put it nicely; he seemed to really enjoy this aspect of his job. Once inside and to our seats on the floor, it was obvious that the folding seat rows were set up much too close to each other. I'm a pretty skinny guy, yet people still had to exit into the aisle to let me out of our row. Very inconvenient. If someone in the middle of the row needed to use the restroom or go to the concession stand, everyone in that row had to exit into the aisle to let them out rather than just stand up and fold their seat bottom back to let the person pass. I'm not sure how close the terraced seat rows were to each other, but the floor was awful. Buyer beware - be prepared to be back and forth into the aisle just to let people out to use the restroom, and don't bring even a medium sized purse if you have floor seats.
